Training and Technical Assistance

Carnevale Associates offers a wide range of training & technical assistance (T/TA) services across the nexus of substance use, mental health, and criminal justice. Since 2000, our team of experts has provided training & curriculum development, intensive & customized technical assistance, and knowledge dissemination & science to practice resources.

We work with each of our clients to ensure that our T/TA meets their specific needs and budget. Every T/TA engagement begins with a planning call to discuss client goals and desired outcomes and confirm that we’re the right fit. We offer both custom and “off-the-shelf” T/TA services. For custom T/TA, we develop learning objectives and outlines to guide our work and work with clients to develop a content review schedule that works for them. Carnevale Associates is committed to delivering high-quality, relevant T/TA that supports continuous quality improvement.

Some examples of our current and past work include:

  • Prevention and Addiction Technology Transfer Center Networks: Since 2019, we have developed T/TA to build and sustain the substance use prevention and treatment workforces.
  • Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center: Since 2022, we have researched and written T/TA guides and products to support SAMHSA  prevention grantees.
  • Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies: From 2014 to 2018, we developed T/TA products and events to support the substance use prevention workforce.
